Milwaukee Street Construction

Downsizing Project

This project began when the clients wanted to downsize into an urban bungalow and remodel it to fit their current needs. This was a perfect fit since our on staff Real Estate Agent could help the clients locate the perfect house, and ideas and suggestions for the remodel could be discussed with our team before the purchase of the property. Once the home was found and purchased, renovations began, and the homeowners were able to work every step of the way with our design and construction team. This early 1900’s bungalow was completely transformed to fit the lifestyle of our clients without destroying the historic value and character of the house.

Several projects took place as the entire residence was renovated. A new kitchen, updated bathrooms, detailed trim work, restoration of the original windows, new mechanical systems, new paint and refinished hardwood floors were among some of the restorations that took place. The homeowners were able to work with our Interior Designer on every decision that needed to be made regarding the design details of the home. A new basement floor plan was designed by our staff Architect, and now the homeowners have an additional 1,600 square feet of custom living space. Along with a stunning remodel of the interior space, a new garage and landscaping project were completed on the exterior. When the house was purchased, the old garage was failing structurally, but that was no obstacle for our team. Some of the projects that took place on the garage were: design of the structure by our Architect, new concrete, framing, electrical to the garage, brick installation, and installation of a new roof. This project proved to be a complete “turn key” operation with the purchase, renovation and completion of this stunning bungalow in Denver, Colorado.
